EXOS Launches the EXOS Baseball Academy Powered by Blast Motion Technology

EXOS and Blast Motion come together to provide high school baseball athletes with a cohesive, data driven training experience

(Carlsbad, Calif., August 9, 2017) Blast Motion and EXOS have partnered to provide the EXOS Baseball Academy with real-time swing analytics as part of EXOS’ in-house, sports performance lab, providing coaches and athletes with real-time advanced training insights. The Blast Baseball sensor and Blast Connect services have been integrated into the EXOS training experience and will be provided to attending athletes, allowing them to utilize these services after the event. The Blast solution will be used by the highly skilled Baseball Nation instructors to help athletes visualize their baseball swing and learn how to improve faster. The event will be held on September 23rd and 24th at the EXOS performance training center at Fieldhouse USA in Dallas / Frisco, TX and McKinney Boyd HS in McKinney, TX.

“We’re excited to combine Blast Motion metrics as another feature to our in-house training services, allowing Baseball Nation instructors and attending athletes with an objective, metrics-powered analysis of their swing,” said Chris Dubek, Vice President of Amateur Sports, EXOS. “Through this partnership we’re helping advance the nation’s most highly touted prospects and the best undiscovered talent in the country.”

Blast Baseball is also the Official Bat Sensor Technology of Major League Baseball®. The Blast sensor and mobile app will provide the EXOS Baseball Academy with the industry’s most accurate swing data as proven by the independent Center for Human Performance study. The Blast app has been specially designed to combine video with metrics to enhance swing analysis, allowing coaches to easily replay and review a player’s swings mechanics.

“As part of the EXOS Baseball Academy, Baseball Nation will reward attending athletes with position-specific 5-tool skills training by instructors that have excelled at the highest levels of baseball,” said Ben Montgomery, Vice President of Baseball Operations, Baseball Nation. “By combining our instructors and Blast data with the EXOS training program, we’re providing athletes with powerful and very personalized insights that can help them transform and improve their game.”
