Premier Girls Fastpitch Partners with Blast Motion to Deliver Player Swing Assessment & NCSA Recruiting Profiles

(Carlsbad, Calif., July 20th, 2017) Premier Girls Fastpitch has selected Blast Softball as the “Official Sensor Technology of PGF” and will utilize the Blast sensor to deliver swing metrics as part of their player evaluation assessments. Players will receive their swing data post-event to help them build performance-based NCSA college recruiting profiles. The Blast sensor is approved for in-game use at all PGF competitions and showcase events where performance measurements are captured. PGF will make the Blast sensor available to players and teams at their camps, clinics, Premier Performance Lab, and any events where NCAA rules allow for swing assessment to be performed.

“It has become critically important in developing and evaluating players to have reliable, consistent and objective information,” said Dan Hay, President, Premier Girls Fastpitch. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Blast Motion to collectively leverage technology to bring that information to recruiters, coaches and players.”

Blast Softball utilizes the same technology that powers the Official Bat Sensor Technology of Major League Baseball® and National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) to deliver the industry’s most accurate swing analysis. The Blast sensor and mobile app provides Premier Girls Fastpitch with the industry’s most accurate swing data as proven by the independent Center for Human Performance study. The Blast sensor and mobile app have been specially designed to combine video and metrics powered swing analysis, helping players of all ages and skillsets understand and improve a player’s swings mechanics.

“The opportunity to partner with such an influential organization as Premier Girls Fastpitch is very exciting,” said Justin Goltz, Baseball / Softball Channel Manager, Blast Motion. “We look forward to providing further insights by which players are measured and evaluated in the proven & competitive landscape that PGF provides its athletes”

The Blast Softball sensor and mobile app can be utilized in practice and training sessions, as well as in-game situations. The app provides real-time swing metrics to deliver instant feedback and Blast’s Smart Video Capture™ automatically clips the video into swing clips that play back in slow-mo with the swing data overlaid. Blast Softball sensors are used by Lauren Chamberlain and all 6 NPF teams for training and in-game.
