How Do I Create a Blast Baseball Account?

Share:

Creating a Blast Baseball account takes about five minutes on iOS or Android. Download the app, tap Create a New Account, choose whether you’re a player or a coach, then register your sensor and add your bat to finish setup.

How to Create a New Blast Baseball Account

  1. Open the Blast Baseball app.
  2. Tap “Create a New Account.”
  3. Select “I’m a Player, Parent, or Athlete” or “I’m a Coach or Academy Owner.”
    – The Personal Swing Trainer sensor can only select Player, Parent, or Athlete.
    – Coach or Academy Owner: you’ll add players to your account. Each player requires an active Blast Connect subscription.
    – Coach Mode is only supported on iOS. Coaches can capture swings and videos for players and save data to each player’s Blast Connect account, and review player progress.
  4. Select your level of play (Amateur, Youth, Middle School, High School – JV, High School – Varsity, or College) to customize your performance goals.
  5. Fill in your Full Name, Nickname, Country, Birth Date, Email, Confirm Email, and Password, then tap “Create Account.”
    – Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include letters and a number.
  6. On the welcome screen, complete the three setup steps: Basic Details, Register Sensor, and Add Bat. You can tap Skip in the top right if you’d rather finish later — you’ll need to complete this before using the sensor.
  7. To register your sensor, tap Register Sensor and scan the serial code on the back of the sensor (or type in the Serial Top & Bottom numbers if it won’t scan). Face the Blast logo toward the ground for two seconds, then toward the sky for two seconds, and repeat until the sensor shows Connected.
  8. To add your bat, tap Add New Bat and enter the Brand, Model, Nickname, Length, and Weight, then tap “Add New Bat.”
  9. Watch the short video on attaching your sensor to your bat, then tap Done (or Add Another Bat to register more).

iOS vs. Android Differences

The account creation flow is nearly identical on both platforms. The main difference is menu location: Android users access sensor and bat settings from the Progress screen menu, while iOS users can access them from the Analyze, Training, Live, or Swings screens.

FAQ

Can I skip sensor and bat setup during account creation? Yes. Tap Skip on the welcome screen, but you’ll need to register your sensor and add a bat before you can start capturing swings.
What are the password requirements? Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and include letters and a number.
Do coaches need a different account type? Yes. Select “I’m a Coach or Academy Owner” during sign-up, and note each player added still needs an active Blast Connect subscription.
