Blast Motion and The Futures League Partner to Improve Elite Athlete Swing Performance
(Carlsbad, Calif., June 7th, 2017) Blast Motion and The Futures League have partnered to track and improve elite collegiate athlete swing performance. The Blast Baseball sensor will be used during practice and in-game to collect and analyze player’s hitting metrics. This information will be made available to the athletes and coaches post-game to help give them an edge over their competition and to help the athletes build their professional portfolio.
“Being able to use the same technology as major leaguers to analyze their swing is going to be a huge benefit for our players”, said The Futures League commissioner Chris Hall. “It’s really going to give our league a step-up on other summer collegiate leagues with college coaches seeing our guys improving their game throughout the summer.”
Blast Baseball is also the Official Bat Sensor Technology of Major League Baseball®. The Blast sensor and mobile app will provide The Futures League with the industry’s most accurate swing data as proven by the independent Center for Human Performance study. The Blast app has been specially designed to combine video and metrics to enhance swing analysis, allowing coaches to easily replay and review a player’s swings mechanics.
“We’re excited to work with The Futures League, as our solution has become a great tool for Summer Collegiate and Independent leagues,” said Justin Goltz, Baseball / Softball Channel Manager, Blast Motion. “It’s great to see the eagerness and excitement from the GMs and players to implement Blast as a means of tracking improvement.”
