Blast Off is a free swing game built into the Blast Baseball and Softball apps that turns your Bat Speed into a score, challenging you to launch Blast Man’s rocket all the way to the moon.
How to Play Blast Off
You take 5 swings, and each one is scored based on your Bat Speed. The scores add up to see how close you get to sending Blast Man to the moon — it takes 500 points to get him there, and the rocket travels farther if your score goes even higher.
Scoring is personalized to you if you’ve taken enough recent swings in Live > Practice mode (not Live > Games mode). If there isn’t enough personalized data, scoring is based on the level of play set in your profile. Target Bat Speeds are set relative to your personalized data or your level of play, and points are awarded based on how close each swing’s Bat Speed is to that target.
Speed Boosters
- A maximum of 1 speed booster is automatically applied per game, if available.
- When a booster is applied, you get to take a 6th swing, and the game scores your 5 highest Bat Speed swings — the lowest is dropped.
- Swing Analyzer sensor users earn speed boosters by taking air swings in Practice mode: 1 speed booster for every 20 valid air swings taken in a calendar day.
Requirements
- Software: iOS only — Blast Baseball/Softball 5.13 or higher.
- Hardware: A Gen 3 Sensor (Swing Trainer or Swing Analyzer). Identify a Gen 3 sensor by its 12-digit serial number, where the second digit on the top row is 5 or greater — check the serial on the sensor or under My Sensor in the app.
