The free version of Blast Baseball combines sensor-based swing metrics with auto-edited video clips in an easy-to-use mobile app, plus free training videos in the training center.
Impact Metrics (Free)
– Bat Speed — total speed of the barrel at impact (MLB avg. 70.3 mph)
– Attack Angle — angle of the barrel at impact (MLB avg. 8 degrees)
– Vertical Bat Angle — steepness of the barrel at impact from a catcher’s perspective
– Time to Contact — time from start of downswing to impact (MLB avg. 0.14 sec)
– Peak Hand Speed — fastest hand speed reached during the swing
– Power — bat mass × average acceleration × bat speed at impact

How to Sign Up for Premium
Player/Parent and Coach accounts can subscribe through the app, on the Blast Connect website, or via an academy invite. Academies can purchase a pre-paid subscription for 12 or more accounts by contacting the Blast sales team.

What sensor do I need for Premium? Blast Connect Premium requires a Swing Analyzer sensor — the Personal Swing Trainer sensor is not compatible.
