Share:

To add a bat in the Blast Baseball or Blast Softball app, open My Bats from the menu, tap the plus icon, enter your bat’s details, and save. The steps below cover standard bats, Axe bats, and what to do if your exact bat model isn’t listed.

How to Add a Standard Bat

iOS
1. Tap the Menu from the Analyze, Training, Live, or Swing screen.
2. Tap My Bats.
3. Select the plus sign icon in the top right of the screen.
4. Enter the Bat Type, Bat Brand, Bat Model, Bat Nickname, Length, and Weight. Tap each field to scroll through available options.
5. When complete, tap the checkmark in the top right of the screen.

Android
1. From the Progress screen, tap the Menu.
2. Tap My Bats.
3. Select the plus sign icon in the top right of the screen.
4. Enter the Bat Type, Bat Brand, Bat Model, Bat Nickname, Length, and Weight.
5. When complete, tap the checkmark in the top right of the screen.

How to Add an Axe Bat

  1. Tap the Menu from the Analyze, Training, Live, or Swing screen.
  2. Tap My Bats.
  3. Select the plus sign icon on the bottom right of the screen.
  4. Input the bat’s brand (Axe), Model, Nickname, Length, Weight, Sensor Placement, and Axe Bat Handle Type (Standard or Flared).
  5. Tap the “Add New Bat” button when finished.

For proper sensor mounting on an Axe bat: place the bat so the downward slope of the knob faces you, then attach the sensor face-up so the Blast Man logo aligns as shown in the app’s demo video. Proper setup is required for accurate metrics.

FAQ

My bat isn’t in the list — what should I do?
Not all bat models are in the system. Select the bat closest to yours and add your bat’s actual name in the Nickname field. To get accurate metrics, make sure the length and weight you enter match your real bat — the model selected has no bearing on the metrics captured.

Does the bat model affect my swing metrics?
No. Only the length and weight you enter affect metric accuracy.
