How Switch Hitters Should Set Up Bats in the Blast App

Share:

Switch hitters need to create two separate bat entries in the Blast Baseball or Blast Softball app — one for hitting right-handed and one for hitting left-handed. Use the Nickname field to tell them apart, such as “Righty” and “Lefty.”

iOS: How to Add a Bat

  1. Tap the Menu from the Analyze, Training, Live, or Swing screen.
  2. Tap My Bats.
  3. Select the plus sign icon on the bottom right of the screen.
  4. Enter the Brand, Model, Nickname, Length, and Weight for each bat. Use the Nickname field to identify each side (e.g., “Right” or “Left”).
  5. Tap the “Add New Bat” button when finished.

Android: How to Add a Bat

  1. From the Progress screen, tap the Menu.
  2. Tap My Bats.
  3. Select the plus sign icon on the screen.
  4. Enter the Brand, Model, Nickname, Length, and Weight for each bat.
  5. Tap the checkmark in the top right of the screen when complete.

FAQ

Why do switch hitters need two bat entries?
Creating a separate bat profile for each side lets you track metrics accurately whether you’re hitting right-handed or left-handed, and quickly switch between them before a session.

Can I use the same bat model for both entries?
Yes — you can create two entries with the same brand and model, using unique nicknames to distinguish your right-handed and left-handed setups.
