Which Blast Baseball Product Is Right for You?

Share:

Blast Baseball offers two sensor options: the Swing Trainer, a low-cost entry sensor with the free app, and the Swing Analyzer, which supports the full range of premium metrics and is required if you want a Blast Connect subscription.

Swing Trainer

The Swing Trainer sensor pairs with the free Blast Baseball app and gives you core Impact Metrics (Bat Speed, Peak Hand Speed, Vertical Bat Angle, Time to Contact) along with basic swing tracking. It’s a good fit if you want to get started with swing feedback without a subscription.
– Note: The Personal Swing Trainer sensor is not compatible with Blast Connect. Swings captured on a Swing Trainer sensor also do not transfer to Blast Connect if you later upgrade.

Swing Analyzer

The Swing Analyzer sensor supports the full range of Blast metrics and is required if you want to add a Blast Connect Premium subscription — unlocking Swing Quality Scores, Swing Metrics, Ball Flight, video analysis, and cloud storage/reporting tools.

Which One Should You Choose?

  • Choose the Swing Trainer if you want basic impact metrics and don’t need cloud storage, video analysis, or coach/team tools.
  • Choose the Swing Analyzer if you plan to subscribe to Blast Connect for advanced metrics, video analysis, coaching feedback, or team/academy management.

FAQ

Can I upgrade from Swing Trainer to Swing Analyzer later? Yes, but note that swings captured on the Swing Trainer sensor do not transfer over to Blast Connect after upgrading.
Do I need Blast Connect to use either sensor? No — both sensors work with the free app. Blast Connect is an optional subscription, and it requires the Swing Analyzer sensor.
