How to Create a Player Blast Connect Account (Baseball, Softball & Golf)

There are three ways to create a Blast Connect player account for baseball, softball, or golf: sign up in the app, sign up on the web, or accept an Academy Invite from a coach. Each method unlocks advanced training metrics, cloud storage, coaching feedback, personalized reports, and performance history.

Option 1: Sign Up in the App

1. Open the Blast app (Baseball, Softball, or Golf).
2. Tap the menu (hamburger button).
3. Tap the Profile/silhouette icon.
4. Tap the Account tab.
5. Set Account Type to Player.
6. Tap Upgrade, then tap Learn more.
7. Fill out the form.

Option 2: Sign Up on the Web

1. Click your sport’s registration link:
   – Baseball: https://baseball-academy.blastconnect.com/register (or /register/connect if you already have an app account)
   – Softball: https://softball-academy.blastconnect.com/register (or /register/connect)
   – Golf: https://golf-academy.blastconnect.com/register (or /register/connect)
2. Fill out the Create a Blast Account form: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, consent checkbox, Phone, SMS/MMS consent checkbox, Email, Password, Confirm Password, and Terms of Service.
3. Tap Continue.
4. Select your Blast Connect Subscription: Player (Monthly or Yearly) or Coach (Yearly).
5. Fill in your Credit Card fields and tap Purchase.
6. Optionally: upload an avatar, update your time zone, and add your Primary Position (baseball/softball).
7. Tap Complete.

Option 3: Accept an Academy Invite

1. Open the invite email to join a Blast Connect Academy.
2. Tap Accept Invitation.
3. The Blast Connect site opens — enter the Blast Account Password from the invite email.
4. Tap Continue.
5. Fill out the optional form (avatar, time zone, and — for baseball/softball — Primary Position).
6. Tap Complete.

FAQ

Do I need a subscription to sign up as a player?
Yes — the web sign-up flow requires selecting and paying for a Blast Connect Subscription (Monthly or Yearly) as part of account creation.

Is Date of Birth required to sign up?
Yes, when signing up on the web you must provide Date of Birth along with a consent checkbox to create the account.

Can I sign up the same way for baseball, softball, and golf?
Yes — the app, web, and Academy Invite sign-up flows are nearly identical across all three sports, using sport-specific registration links.
