How Does Video Analysis Work in the Blast App and Blast Connect?

Share:

Blast’s Video Analysis feature helps you evaluate player and team performance by combining swing video with metric overlays, markup tools, voice feedback, and side-by-side comparisons — available with a Blast Connect subscription.

What Video Analysis Does

With a Blast Connect subscription, Video Analysis lets you:

  • Analyze your swing using built-in video analysis tools
  • Markup video with a metric overlay
  • Record voice feedback directly on the video
  • Compare two swings side by side
  • Use Event Markers to quickly jump to specific points in the video
  • Record a non-Blast video, quickly access the analyze tool, and save it to your video library

This is available across Baseball, Softball, and Golf, each with sport-specific video walkthroughs and detailed user guides.

How to Compare Two Videos

  1. In the Video Analysis screen, tap the Compare feature.
  2. Tap a thumbnail video to compare.
  3. Tap on each video and use the scrub wheel to line up both videos.
  4. Tap the chain icon to sync the videos together.
  5. Tap the play button to play both videos in sync.

Using Video Analysis in Blast Connect

Blast Connect includes its own video analysis tool for breaking down footage and adding feedback with drawing tools and audio overlay:

  1. Tap Analysis to view the Video Analyze screen.
  2. Scroll down to Video Analysis and select it.
  3. Use the Analyze tool to edit the video with drawing and audio overlay.

Note: Video Analysis in Blast Connect must be opened in Google Chrome to work correctly.
