Coaches can invite players, coaches, or admin coaches to a Blast Connect Academy three ways: email invite, bulk upload, or social share link. Players who receive an invite accept it through their invite email to join the academy and set up their account.
How Coaches Send an Academy Invite
Email
1. Tap the Team tab.
2. Tap the plus sign and select “Invite Members.”
3. Tap the Email tab.
4. Fill out the form for Players, Coaches, or Admin Coaches (Member Type, First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, Coach Assignment).
5. Tap the plus sign to add another member, then tap Send Invitation(s).
Bulk Upload
1. Tap the Team tab.
2. Tap the plus sign and select “Invite Members.”
3. Tap the Bulk Upload tab.
4. Tap Let’s Go.
5. Fill out the fields per role (Player, Coach, or Admin Coach), including First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Member Type, Level of Play, Coach, Blast Connect, Add-Ons, Who’s Paying, Password, Sensor Name, Sensor Serial Number, Sensor Location, Equipment Name, Equipment Length, and Equipment Weight.
6. Tap Invite Members. Use Global Settings or Default Student Settings to apply defaults across all invited players.
Social Share
1. Tap the Team tab.
2. Tap the plus sign and select “Invite Members.”
3. Tap the Social Share tab.
4. Copy the URL to invite players by email or social media.
How to Accept an Academy Invite (Baseball, Softball & Golf)
- Open the invite email to join a Blast Connect Academy.
- Tap the Accept Invitation button.
- The Blast Connect online site opens.
- Enter the Blast Account Password from the invite email.
- Tap Continue.
- Fill out the optional form fields: add an avatar, set your time zone, and (baseball/softball only) add your Primary Position.
- Tap Complete.
FAQ
What if a player’s email is already registered?
You’ll see the message “That email has already been taken.” The account will need to be transferred — contact Blast Motion customer support to complete the transfer.
Is Primary Position required when accepting an invite?
No — Primary Position is an optional field for baseball and softball players; golf invites don’t include this field at all.
