Sensor connection issues are almost always caused by charging problems, Bluetooth being off, or a sensor that needs to be reset. Work through the charge, Bluetooth, and reset checks below in order.
Step 1: Check the Charge
Place the sensor on the charger and check the LED color:
– Red: If there’s no beep and the light doesn’t change, the sensor may be dead — try a different USB port. If the sensor is actually fully charged on an older charger, it may just be flashing (continue to the next step). If it isn’t placed correctly, make sure the logo faces up and the sensor sits centered on the charger.
– Blue: The sensor needs more charging — allow 45 minutes to an hour.
– Green: Fully charged — continue to the next step.
You can also shake the sensor to check its charge: an amber or green light under the Blast logo, flashing every 5–10 seconds, means it’s on and broadcasting. No light means it needs to be charged, is dead, or hasn’t finished activation.
Step 2: Check Bluetooth
The sensor only communicates with the app via Bluetooth — confirm it’s turned on in your phone’s settings.
Step 3: Reset as a Last Resort
If charge and Bluetooth are both confirmed working, the sensor may need to be reset. This can only be completed by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Back up any videos first if you have a Blast Connect subscription, then reinstall, log back in, and try connecting again.

FAQ
What does a red LED on the charger mean? It can indicate a dead sensor, a bad USB port, incorrect placement, or (on older chargers) that it’s already fully charged and simply flashing — work through each possibility in order.
How do I reset the sensor to fix a connection issue? Uninstall and reinstall the app (after backing up any videos if you have Blast Connect), then log in and reconnect.
How do I know if my sensor is broadcasting? Shake it — an amber or green light under the Blast logo flashing every 5–10 seconds means it’s active.
