Welcome to the Blast Connect Mobile app that communicates, analyzes, coaches, and provides management tools that enable day-to-day drive improvement.  The Blast Connect mobile takes all the great features of Blast Connect now on your phone.

The Blast Connect Mobile works with Baseball, Softball and Golf.  The app works for Athlete, Coach, & Academy users.

The Basics

How to install Blast Connect Mobile

 

Depending on your iOS device, go to App Store.

To find and install Blast Connect for iOS

 

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open App Store.
  2. Tap the Search icon.
  3. Enter Blast Connect Mobile in the search results to go to the app page.
  4. Select Blast Connect Mobile in the search results to go the app page.
  5. Follow the standard installation procedure for iOS.

 

 

Create New Account or Sign in

 

Once the app is downloaded it opens the login screen. The available options of logging into the app or creating a new account are shown on the page.

 

Create New Account (athlete)

 

  1. Please go to the following link: (Baseball, Golf, & Softball).
  2. Tap on the sign-up button.
  3. Register the account by typing in your First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, Confirmed Password and agree to terms of service.
  4. Select continue to proceed.
  5. Select a subscription plan and enter your credit card information.
  6. Select the subscribe button to Blast Connect to proceed.
  7. When completed the following message will appear: “your Blast Connect account has been successfully created! Thank you for subscribing. Please login to continue.”

 

   Create New Account (Player, Coach)

 

  1. Please go to the following link: (Baseball, Golf, & Softball).
  2. Tap on the sign-up button.
  3. Register the account by typing in your First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, Confirmed Password and agree to terms of service.
  4. Select continue to proceed.
  5. Select a subscription plan and enter your credit card information.
  6. Select the subscribe button to Blast Connect to proceed.
  7. When completed the following message will appear: “your Blast Connect account has been successfully created! Thank you for subscribing. Please login to continue.”

 

Create New Account (Self-Serve Coach/ Academy)

 

  1. Please go to the following link: (Baseball, Golf, & Softball).
  2. Tap on the sign-up button.
  3. Register your account by typing Academy Name, Sub Domain, and Logo.
  4. Finish the Register your account by typing in your First Name, Last Name, Email, Password and Confirmed Password.
  5. Tap on the terms of service box, then select on “create account.” The next screen is the payment detail screen.
  6. Fill out the Cardholder Name, Card Number, CVC Security Code, and Expires to enable the “Subscribe to Blast Connect” button.
  7. Once completed, an “Account Successfully Created” Message will appear.
  8. Tap on button to “continue to Dashboard” to complete the process.

 

Sign in

 

  1. Open the Blast Connect Mobile.
  2. Tap on “Sign in here.”
  3. Fill in your E-mail (username) and Password. When complete tap on “log in “button.

 

Forgot Password

 

  1. Open the Blast Connect Mobile.
  2. Tap on “Sign in here.”
  3. Tap on the “Forgot Password.”
  4. Type in E-mail (Username) and tap on “Reset Password” button to get a reset link sent to email address.
  5. Open email and select on the link or copy and paste the following link into your browser.
  6. On the reset screen type your Email, Password and tap on the “reset” button.

 


Dashboard

The dashboard shows your activity on the home page on the Blast Connect.  It consists of the following features: Profile, Inbox, Calendar, Capture, Training Center, and Video Library.

 

How to view your metrics

  1. Scroll down to the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button on Dashboard
  2. Tap the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button.

 

How to sync metrics

  1. Scroll down to the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button on Dashboard
  2. Tap the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button.
  3. Tap on the option button.
  4. Tap on “SYNC METRICS” button.

 

How to filter metrics

  1. Scroll down to the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button on Dashboard
  2. Tap the “VIEW YOUR METRICS” button.
  3. Tap on the filter button.
  4. Tap the filter option.

 

How to update profile

 

  1. Scroll down to the “MANAGE YOUR PROFILE” button on Dashboard
  2. Tap the “MANAGE YOUR PROFILE” button.
  3. Update your profile.
  4. Tap on the “SAVE PROFILE UPDATES” button.

How to add academy members

 

  1. From the Dashboard screen, tap on the profile icon.
  2. Tap on Academy members.
  3. Tap on “ADD MEMBER” button.
  4. Add student information.

How to find academy members

  3. Tap on Search line and type the name.
  4. The list will filter by the name typed.
  5. Tap on the name to view member.

  4. Type in email in the invite automatically.
  5. Tap the “SEND INVITE(S)” button.

Inbox

The notification of messages for the app can be found in the inbox.  The inbox will show message and create messages.

How to create a new message

 

  1. From the Dashboard screen, tap on the inbox icon.
  2. Tap on the plus sign icon.
  3. Type in the message information (To, Subject, and message).
  4. Tap the “SEND” button.

 

How to delete message

 

  1. From the Dashboard screen, tap on the inbox icon.
  2. Tap on the message to view.
  3. Tap on garbage can icon to delete.

Calendar

The Calendar shows the current and past activities in a month, week, and day view.  The calendar can also be filtered by and viewed by members.

  2. Tap on the “VIEW CALENDAR.”
  3. Tap on one of the options (Today, Month, Week and Day).

  4. Tap on reset filters to return to default view of calendar.

How to add event

  2. Tap on the “VIEW CALENDAR.”
  3. Tap on the plus sign icon.
  4. Fill out Event info (Event Type, Title, Location, Description, Date, Time, Repeat, and Assign Members).
  5. Tap on the “ADD EVENT” button.

  2. Tap on the “VIEW CALENDAR.”
  3. Tap on event.

The activities are the different types of calendar events.  The activities are color coded on the calendar to identify the events quicker.

Capture

The Capture provides many different video options.  To begin the capture feature, set your preferred capture setting of the student and action type.  When capturing the video, you can select Grid Guidance, Front/Rear Facing Camera, and Multiple Video Framing options.  Additionally, you may also select options for using the Smart Video Capture to import videos from the Camera Roll or Blast Connect.

How to video capture

  1. Select on Capture icon.
  2. Tap on the player name.
  3. Select the Action type from the dropdown box.
  4. Tap the “Capture” box.
  5. Tap on the record button.
  6. When video is completed, tap on the record button to end.
  7. Swipe from right to left go back to Capture screen at any time.

How to setup timer

  1. Select on Capture icon.
  2. Tap on the player name.
  3. Select the Action type from the dropdown box.
  4. Tap the “Capture” box.
  5. Tap on “Timer” icon and select on off, 5s, 10s, & 15s.
  6. Tap on the record button.
  7. The display count downs on the screen and the recording starts.
  • The recording will stop when the timer runs to the end.

 

How to turn grid on

  1. Select on Capture icon.
  2. Tap on the player name.
  3. Select the Action type from the dropdown box.
  4. Tap the “Capture” box.
  5. Tap on “Grid” icon.

How to turn on selfie mode

  1. Select on Capture icon.
  2. Tap on the player name.
  3. Select the Action type from the dropdown box.
  4. Tap the “Capture” box.

Training Center

The Training Center is a combination of Training Center, Workout and Practices, Skills and Assessments and Round (Golf only).

 

Training Center

 

The Training Center helps you learn more about the metrics, watch videos, and gain actionable training insights on improving your swing. Training Drills, Pro Tips and Metrics are the main components of the Training Center.

 

Training Drills

 

The Training Drills are guided training tools to improve the overall swing. The drills are broken up into three different categories: speed, control, and power. The default page of the training drills is selected to speed, but the user may switch to control or power. Once this is done, select on the video drill you want to complete.

  2. Tap on Learn More button under Training Center.
  3. (Golf only) – Tap on Full Swing or Putting thumbnail.
  4. Tap on Training Drills.

How to do a Standard Drill

The Pro Tips are used for improving overall performance. Here you can select on the video drill you want to complete. If a standard drill is selected, the video will play and a quick summary of the drill will be displayed below the video.

Workouts and Practices

 

Owners, coaches and players can create and edit workouts. Both the Workouts and Practices work the same way. Once you have chosen between the two, you must complete the details in the Workout or Practice.

 

Once Workouts or Practices are created, coaches and owners can schedule and assign them to any of their students or rosters. Students can only assign workouts and practices to themselves to complete.

 

 

 How to create a workout

 

  1. Tap on the Training Center
  2. Tap on Learn More button under Workout and Practices.
  3. Tap on “CREATE A WORKOUT” button.
  4. Fill out the form (Workout Name, Workout Type, Workout Description, Exercise, and Assign Workout).
  5. Tap on “SAVE” button.

 

 

How to create a practice

 

  1. Tap on the Training Center icon.
  2. Tap on Learn More button under Workout and Practices.
  3. Tap on “CREATE A PRACTICE” button.
  4. Fill out the form (Practice Name, Practice Type, Practice Description, Drill, and Assign Practice).
  5. Tap on “SAVE” button.

Assessments are skills challenges created by the owner and coaches of the academy. Owners can customize and create whatever assessments are appropriate.

  4. Fill out the Play a Round form (Club, Date, & Tournament.)
  5. Tap on the “START ROUND” button.

How to search for golf courses

 

  1. Tap on the Training Center
  2. Tap on Learn More button under Rounds.
  3. Tap on Rounds tab.
  4. Under Clubs, type in 3 or more characters.
  5. Golf course options will show and tap on selected course.

 

 

How to download a printable scorecard

 

  1. Tap on the Training Center
  2. Tap on Learn More button under Rounds.
  3. Tap on Rounds tab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of Play a Round form.
  5. Tap on the hyperlink of “Download a printable scorecard.”

 

 

  How to view golf stats

  1. Tap on the Training Center
  2. Tap on Learn More button under Rounds.
  3. Tap on Golf Stats tab.

Video Library

The videos will show from newest to oldest by scrolling up and down on the page. Each video will show the player’s name, any tags and the video age.

 

How to view Blast Connect videos

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the Blast Connect tab on top of page.

How to Save to Camera Roll

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the Option button on top of the video selected to save.
  2. Under the upload or save video options tap on “Save to Camera roll.”
  3. A message will show “Your video was successfully saved.” Hit OK.

How to upload to Blast Connect

 

  1. From the Video Library screen tap on the Option button on top of the video selected to upload.
  2. Under the upload or save video options tap on “Upload to Blast Connect.”
  3. Add additional tags and description of video. Tap on the “Upload” button.
  4. Video will be uploading to the Blast Connect.

How to delete video

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the Option button on top of the video selected to delete.
  2. Under the upload or save video options tap on “Delete.”

 

How to edit video player name

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the Option button on top of the video selected to edit.
  2. Under the upload or save video options, tap on “Edit Tag and User.”
  3. Tap on the player and select an action from the drop-down menu. Tap “Save” to proceed.

  How do you edit the video

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the video.
  2. Use editing tools to make changes and start recording.
  3. When the changes are complete, stop recording to automatically save changes.

How do you tag a video while editing a video

  • The default tags let you pinpoint a spot in the video to which you can later quickly return.  Multiple tags can be used in a single video.

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the video.
  2. Tap the play button.
  3. Select on default tags that describes the point in the video.
  4. When the changes are complete, tap on the “X” top left.

 

How to compare videos

 

  1. From the Video Library screen, tap on the first video.
  2. Tap on the compare icon button.
  3. Tap on the second video and select on “Select” button.
  4. Tap on the “Sync” button on both videos.
  5. Tap the play button to watch the videos.
